Ksh1 Million Stolen Electronics Recovered In Huruma, Eldoret

Police officers in Eldoret town have arrested three people who were found in possession of assorted electronics believed to have been stolen from locals.

The three were arrested after police officers raided a rental house in Huruma estate, pioneer area early on Thursday.

According to Turbo Sub County Police Commander Edward Masibo, the raid was conducted after they received information from members of the public over suspicious activities at the house.

Among items recovered after the raid include Television sets, home theaters, carpets, hoofers, and mobile phones.

They are valued at over a million shillings.

“We suspect the items were acquired through theft within Eldoret town and its environs. Some could have been stolen when they were waylaid at night while others are as a result of home burglaries,” said Masibo.

The Sub County police boss investigations are ongoing, and the arrested suspects are expected to be arraigned in court to answer multiple charges.

But even as police work on charging the three, two men and a woman, locals who might have lost their electronics through theft have been asked to visit the Huruma Police station for identification.

“Those that their electronics were stolen should visit the police station with necessary documents for identification,” said Masibio.

He also issued a warning to those involved in theft and burglary within Turbo Sub County that their days are numbered.
