The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced a late application window for degree programmes, giving thousands of students a second chance at university placement.
According to a notice issued by KUCCPS under the theme “Aligning Careers”, eligible students are those who sat for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams in 2022, 2023, 2024 or 2025 and missed out on the initial placement process.
How to Apply for KUCCPs placement?
KUCCPS has urged interested applicants to log in to the student portal at students.kuccps.ac.ke and click on Late Degree Application to begin the process.

The agency did not specify a deadline in the poster, urging candidates to “Apply today!”
Meanwhile, KUCCPS Chief Executive Officer Dr. Agnes Mercy Wahome said Form Four leavers applying for university placement during the current late degree application window are getting instant placement.
Dr Wahome spoke on Friday, July 17, 2026, during a sensitisation forum held at Uriri High School in Migori County, hosted by Uriri MP Mark Nyamita.

The announcement comes as part of KUCCPS’s mandate to coordinate placement of students to universities and colleges in Kenya and ensure no qualified student is left behind.
