Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga on Friday stormed Deputy President William Ruto’s backyard – Uasin Gishu County, as he intensified his Azimio la Amani tours.
Raila started off with a meeting with delegates from 5 counties in the North Rift region where he expressed the need for the government to allocate sufficient funds to the Agriculture sector.
He said should he form the next government, he will ensure full implementation of the Maputo Declaration, which requires at least 10 percent of the national budget to be allocated to the sector.

The former Prime Minister further noted that he will commit to ensuring the cost of farm inputs is lowered.
Farmers in the North Rift region have been up in arms over low budgetary allocation to the Agriculture sector, as well high cost of production – pushed by high farm inputs costs.
After a meeting with the delegates, Raila with his convoy later snaked his way into Eldoret town, attracting huge crowds that lined up to welcome him.

While addressing hundreds of the locals that turned up to greet the veteran opposition leader, the ODM leader affirmed his commitment to ensuring Ksh6,000 is given to the unemployed.
He said the push for a social fund under which the initiative will be rolled out is possible to be implemented successfully.

Raila is a man of the people. He pulls the crowd but not the votes, unfortunately😂
