It was all joy and dance on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at the Nakuru Boys High School grounds in Nakuru County as winners of the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) National Sports Championships were unveiled.
The College’s yearly inter-campus competition was suspended four years ago following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nakuru grounds were filled with party mode as joyous winners of respective campuses, joined by their staff and students, danced and cheered with their teammates.

The security team had a difficult time holding the celebrators back to allow the awarding ceremony to proceed.
And when Nairobi Campus was finally unveiled as the overall winner with the highest points of 98, the crowd went into a frenzy as supporters danced while blowing vuvuzelas to celebrate their victory.
“It is an enormous joy to win this competition. It has taken us a lot in terms of preparations in training and I am so excited that our efforts have yielded fruits,” said a student of Nairobi Campus.

Nakuru Campus secured position two with 95 points while Siaya took position three with 71 points.
Interestingly, Loitoktok Campus thrashed opponents in the Men’s football match to retain their unbeaten streak.
The ceremony was presided over by the KMTC Board Chairperson Amb. Zachary Muburi-Muita as well as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Kelly Oluoch.
