Quickmart Supermarket continues to expand its presence not only in Eldoret City but also across the country.
The supermarket on Friday, April 24, 2026, opened its second branch in Eldoret, which is also the 67th nationally.
The new branch is located at the Basic Elgon View building within the Elgon View estate, along the Eldoret-Kapsabet Highway.
Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim graced the official opening of the new supermarket.
In an update on his social media pages, Bii said the opening of the new Quickmart Supermarket in Elgon View was a strong vote of confidence in Eldoret City’s vision and growing economic momentum as a modern urban centre.
“This investment goes beyond retail. It creates jobs, supports local enterprises, strengthens supply chains, and improves service delivery for residents,” the governor said.
“Indeed, it further anchors Eldoret as a vibrant commercial hub, open, competitive, and poised for greater growth,” he added.
The county boss further noted that Eldoret continues to stand out as a leading investment destination, a position he noted his administration has deliberately built through sustained investment in infrastructure that opens up opportunities and lowers the cost of doing business.
Quickmart Supermarket, Elgon View branch, is expected to boost convenience for residents in the Elgon View and Pioneer and the wider Kisumu road area while contributing to local employment.
The supermarket has another branch at Eldo Centre Mall along Uganda Road, which was opened in March 2021.
