A group of 450 young people from across the Elgeyo Marakwet County has graduated from a training program designed to harness opportunities in the digital economy.
The program focused on digital agripreneurship, the digital economy, the gig economy, and ICT device assembly and repair.
This first cohort of the digital champions has been equipped with essential digital knowledge to unlock the county’s digital potential.

The training was made possible with support from the UK High Commission in Kenya through it’s partners.
Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Wisley Rotich while presiding over the graduation urged the young graduates to take full advantage of the expanding digital space and market their products or services, and actively seek both global and local opportunities.
