The newly created Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Women’s National Super League entered its second round this weekend.
Nyanza-based sides Kisumu all Starlets and Gideons Starlets maintained their 100 per cent record in the league with wins over the weekend.
Gideon’s Starlets, playing away at Kolwa Falcons registered an impressive 5-0 win while Kisumu All Starlets narrowly edged out Royal Starlets 2-1 in an entertaining game played at Moi Stadium, Kisumu on Sunday.
Snaida Tsisika scored a hat-trick for Gideon’s Starlets with Amina Mariam and Narcel Odoyo scoring one goal each.
Faith Atieno Ng’ata and Lydia Ruth Awuor were on target for the Kisumu All-Starlets.
Elsewhere, Kangemi Ladies lost 2-1 to Kayole Starlets.
The match was also played on Sunday.
On Saturday, Kisped Queens silenced their hosts Gene Queens 1-0 while Falling Waters, playing at home lost 2-1 to visiting Macmillan Queens.
Uweza Women beat Sunderland Samba 3-1 in another match played on Saturday.

The FKF Women National Super League was created after the scrapping of the former FKF Women Division One Zone A and B Leagues.
It has 7 teams from Zone B and 9 teams from Zone A.
However, the leader is still being played on the zones.
FKF Women National Super League Weekend Matches
The league continues the coming weekend with a number of matches scheduled.
On Saturday, Moi Marula Primary School Grounds in Eldoret will host the Falcons derby as Eldoret Falcons will host Kolwa Falcons.
Royal Starlets will also be at home facing Gene Queens in a game that will be played at Kitale School, Trans Nzoia County.
On Sunday, it will be a battle of titans as two high-flying sides Kisumu All Starlets and Gideon’s Starlets face off.
Opanga Primary School Grounds in Homa Bay County will host the anticipated mouth-watering clash.
