Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim has nominated two new faces to be part of his Cabinet.
Bii on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, nominated former Uasin Gishu Senate seat candidate Robert Kemei to be the new Sports County Executive Committee Member (CECM).
Kemei, a former Kass FM presenter finished second behind Jackson Mandago and the 2022 general election.

He was nominated alongside Janet Kurgat who, if approved will be the new CECM for Public Service Management, Administration and Devolution.
The two CECM nominees are now expected to be vetted by the Uasin Gishu County Assembly members.
They will be formally appointed to serve in their respective positions if approved by MCAs.
Which CECMs has Chelilim reshuffled?
Aside from the two nominees, Chelilim also announced reshuffled three county executives.
Dr Abraham Serem has been moved from the Health docket to the Roads, Transport and Public Works Department.
Eng Joseph Lagat takes over from Dr Serem in the Department of Health Services.
In addition, End Lucy Ng’endo has been moved to the Department of Education, Vocational Training, Gender, Social Protection and Culture.
The docket has been under Anthony Sitienei. It remains unclear whether Sitienei has been sacked or not.
“The changes are intended to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of public service,” the governor said.
