Sergio Kun Aguero, a Goal Machine Retires From Football

In the world of football, when you mention the name Sergio ‘Kun’ Aguero, Manchester City club is what comes to your mind first.

Sergio Leonel Aguero Del Castillo, born 2 June 1988, 33 years old is an Argentine striker.

He has retired from professional football after he experienced heart complications while playing for the Laliga giants Barcelona, and his doctors advised him to stop playing.

Aguero announced in tears, “My health comes first. Medical staff have told me it is best to stop playing and so I’m now leaving Barca and retiring from Football.”

“I will leave now with my head held high, I’m happy. I don’t know what awaits me in the next life. I know there’s a lot of people that love me, and what the best for me.”

As he retires, the 33-year-old goal machine leaves behind an impressive record. He played 786 football matches out of which he scored 426 goals and had 118 assists.

He is considered one of the greatest strikers of his generation and one of the greatest players in the history of the Premier League, during his decade with Manchester City.

Sergio Aguero was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His height is 1.73 m, 5fits, 8 inches. He started his youth career at Mom’s Alegre, Los Primo.

From 1997 to 2003, he played for Independiente.

  • 2003-2006 – Independiente 54 appearances and 23 goals
  • 2006-2011 – Atletico Madrid 175 appearances and scored 74 goals.
  • 2011-2021 – Manchester City 275 appearances and 184 goals.
  • 2021 – Barcelona appeared 4 times and scored one goal.

National team

2006-2021 – appeared 101 times and scored 41 goals.
