The County Government of Uasin Gishu has extended deadline for businesspersons to renew their licences and permits.
The deadline had earlier been set for midnight March 31, 2026.
Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor Evans Kapkea however announced the extension by two weeks.
Kapkea made the announcement after vising the Uasin Gishu Service Centre following long queues witnessed due to the last-minute rush.

The Service Centre, situated at the heart of Eldoret city, continues to provide a platform for efficient and accessible service delivery to all residents.
“During my visit today to assess the ongoing payment processes, I observed long queues caused by last-minute payments from our hardworking residents,” Kapkea said in a post on his Facebook page.
“In response, we have extended the deadline for the renewal and processing of all licenses and permits from today to 15th April,” he added.
According to the deputy governor, extension gives citizens and businesses sufficient time to complete their applications and remain compliant.

He also commented on the ongoing mapping exercise at the Centre which he said is helping to improve service accessibility and efficiency.
“I encourage everyone to take full advantage of this extension and make use of the services available at our One-Stop Desk,” DG Kapkea said.
