Kingdom Bank Strengthens Presence in Nairobi CBD with New Branch

Kingdom Bank has expanded its branch network with the official opening of its new Wabera Street Branch located at the site of the former iconic Italian Trattoria Restaurant in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD).

According to the bank, the new branch reaffirms its commitment to providing accessible, relationship-driven banking solutions to Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs), traders, and retail customers.

The new branch becomes the Bank’s 30th branch nationwide and reflects Kingdom Bank’s continued channel strategy of locating services within vibrant commercial centres.

Located in the heart of Nairobi’s bustling commercial district, the Wabera Street Branch places the Bank at the centre of one of Kenya’s most vibrant trading and service ecosystems. The area serves thousands of businesses ranging from wholesale and retail traders, professional service firms, catering and hospitality outlets, importers and distributors who require responsive banking solutions.

Significance of Kingdom Bank’s Wabera Street branch

Speaking during the official opening, the Managing Director & CEO of Kingdom Bank, Anthony Mburu, said the launch of the Wabera Street Branch is significant by dint of its prime location at the heart of Nairobi’s CBD, and coincides with the recent ‘go-live’ of the bank’s new core banking system.

“The successful rollout of our new Core Banking System has laid the foundation for a more agile and innovative Kingdom Bank. As we open our doors on Wabera Street, we are not only bringing banking services closer to our customers but also providing them with an enhanced banking experience powered by the most modern banking technology. This investment enables us to serve our customers better through faster transactions, improved digital capabilities, and personalised financial solutions that support business growth and financial success,” Mburu said.

Kingdom Bank continues to expand its service footprint, and Wabera Street Branch is expected to become a critical addition to this network through which entrepreneurs, service firms and individuals will access financial solutions to enable them to realise their business goals.
