Locals in Chelabal village, Ziwa area of Soy Sub County have been left in shock after a bodaboda operator killed a woman that is believed to have been his lover.
The bodaboda operator surrendered to the Ziwa Police station on Monday, August 1, 2022, after committing the criminal act.
Chelabal village elder Simon Tarus told uasingishunews.co.ke that the rider killed his 24-year-old lover by stabbing her.
This is after what the village elder said was the deceased mother’s decision to object a relationship between her daughter and the bodaboda rider.

“The man was angered because of the position the mother had taken in regards to the relationship with her daughter. He took a knife and went to the deceased home where he asked a child to call her. They talked for a while before he started stabbing her,” Tarus narrated.
The woman, according to the village elder, was stabbed in the neck, face, ribs and left leg.
She died while she was being taken to the Ziwa Hospital for treatment.
The suspect had earlier escaped from the scene of the crime, before later surrendering to the Ziwa Police Station.

Police are now holding the suspect, even as they continue with investigations into the incident.
He is expected to be arraigned in court to face murder charges.
