Eldoret Clergy Calls For Dialogue On Matters Affecting Kenyans

A section of Eldoret clergy has urged the political class to embrace dialogue on issues affecting Kenyans as a better way of finding solutions to the social and economic problems facing the citizens.

They called for dialogue from both sides in order to ensure the country remains stable and peaceful.

Speaking at ACK St. Mathew’s after a church service on Sunday, January 19, 2025, the clergy led by the Provost Rev Bernard Kosgey and Reverend John Waweru however cautioned Kenyans against the use of force, violence and chaos as a way of expressing their anger on issues affecting them.

As a country, we should be careful with actions that can cause us to destroy this beautiful country. I urge all Kenyans to ensure we don’t destroy the country. We can solve our issues through dialogue and other mechanisms without use of violence,” Provost Kosgey explained.

On his part, Rev Waweru urged Kenyans to cultivate a culture of forgiveness and work together in solving challenges facing them without anger and hatred.

This is a new year and we should work together and forgive one another. People should avoid living in hatred and anger. I urge everyone to ensure we maintain a good spirit of loving one another and try to solve our problems without violence,” he said.

The Kenya Kwanza administration has been under scrutiny over some of its polices many Kenyans have considered punitive.
