The Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) leaders in Eldoret have asked Christians to support Children’s projects initiated to serve as platforms for early interventions and prevention of social, behavioural, and developmental issues and make them feel part of the community.
Speaking during the groundbreaking ceremony for a Ksh5 Million Sunday School church project at St Mathews Church Cathedral in Eldoret, the Provost of the Church Reverend Cannon Bernard Kosgei said parents should encourage their children to attend Sunday School and allow them to feel, witness, and experience what life with God is like alongside their brothers and sisters in Christ from an early age.
Provost Rev. Kosgei further urged the society to support the church in laying the foundation for lifelong learning, personal growth, and career exploration, shaping the trajectory of children’s future endeavours through such noble projects.

He also noted that ACK St Mathews has other ongoing programs for children that are aimed at helping children from all families and backgrounds and extending to them the holistic ministry that targets their spiritual, social, academic, emotional, and physical needs.
In addition, the clergy urged residents of Eldoret and other Kenyans of goodwill to support them financially to complete the project saying through children, the empowered children will be able to reach the society with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and bring change.
