Langas-based Espodec Starlets over the weekend secured a 2-1 win over their hosts Kapseret Queens.
In a friendly match played at St Joseph’s Secondary School in Kapseret on Sunday, Starlets scored through Joyce Njeri and Kaldrine Chelagat.
Espodec Starlets coach Maurice Kamau said the game was used to prepare the team for the upcoming North Rift Football Kenya Federation (FKF) regional league.
They are scheduled to play Kapsabet-based Young Bullets this coming weekend.

“We will be having our first league match on Sunday probably away at Kapsabet,” Kamau told Uasin Gishu News.
Later, they will face Waynne Starlets.
Espodec Starlets have been doing well in the regional FKF league.
Last season, they finished third on the log
The team is part of the Eldoret Sports Development Centre’s (Espodec) project targeting the youth within the Langas estate, a largely informal settlement.
It is comprised of girls aged between 14 and 25 years, most of who are also from families with humble backgrounds.
Recently, the Espodec Starlets signed a deal with the Mwangiz Institute of Cosmetology that will see some of their best players enrolled at the institution for short courses.

The deal also entails the player of the match getting a Monday beauty makeover at the Eldret-based institution.
