Family Glory Football Club is the champion of the third edition of Allan Chesang Super Cup.
The Nabiswa ward-based team in Kiminini Constituency of Trans Nzoia County beat Active FC 1-0 in the finals held Saturday at Kitale ASK showgrounds.
Edward Mandela scored the sole goal to secure his team a cool Ksh 1.5 million.
The runners-up team was awarded Ksh 800,000 while Kapsara FC, the 1st runners-up walked away with Ksh. 300,000.
In the ladies category, Kwanza-based Sportiff Falcons were crowned the champions, walking away with Ksh 420 000 after defeating Wiyeta FC from Cherang’any Constituency.
Wiyeta bagged Ksh 300,000 while Grasslands FC which came third took home Ksh 200,000.

Speaking after the finals, Senator Allan Chesang’, the sponsor of the tournament said his objective was to identify, nurture and expose talents.
“While you were playing, my scouts were busy spotting talented youths. We shall connect the identified talents with established clubs playing major leagues in the country and even outside Kenya,” Chesang’ said.
450 football teams drawn from all the 25 wards in Trans Nzoia participated in the tournament that has the highest cash prizes.
The final was attended by Trans Nzoia County Member of Parliament, Lilian Siyoi, Senators Hillary Sigey (Bomet), Godfrey Osotsi (Vihiga), Miraj Abdillahi (Nominated), Karen Nyamu (Nominated) as well as Betty Montet (Nominated), among other local leaders.
