Trans Nzoia County Governor George Natembeya has faulted the memorandum of understanding between President William Ruto and ODM party leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking at Amahoro sports ground in Kiminini Constituency during the issuance of maize seed to needy farmers, the County boss said Raila’s decision is a threat to multi-party democracy.
Natembeya, who said he has taken over the role of opposition leader in Kenya said Ruto-Odinga handshake will not solve challenges facing Kenyans.
“Raila, we love you but the route you have taken is not good. You worked with Moi, Kibaki, Uhuru Kenyatta and nothing happened. Even in Ruto’s administration we don’t have any hope,” Natembeya stated.
Natembeya asks Raila to pay western Kenya debt
The tough-talking administrator l-turned-politician asked the former Prime minister to fulfill his promise to the people of Western Kenya.

“During our campaigns, you made it public that you will appoint Oparanya as Finance minister. When Ruto gave you that chance through broad-based arrangement, you appointed him minister in charge of hustler fund. How do you consider us?” he asked.
The county boss further asked ODM lawmakers from Luo Nyanza to respect Luhya leaders elected on ODM tickets.
“Every other time Edwin Sifuna the Secretary General of ODM opens his mouth to defend Kenyans, he is reminded by Luo MPs that his position can be taken away anytime. There is a guy called Caleb Amisi, the MP of Saboti is now crying allover that he was denied the chairmanship of PAC. If ODM don’t want leaders from other communities they can as well declare so,” Natembeya added.
Tawe movement not tribal – Natembeya
Natembeya, the founder and patron of the Tawe Movement further said his push for liberation of the people of the vote-rich western region from political slavery should not be misinterpreted to mean he is advancing tribalism card.
“We are the second most populous community in Kenya but our numbers do not matter in this country because our two brothers have neglected us. I am stating here that going forward, we must be on that table of sharing national cake,” he said.

The self-declared commando also faulted President William Ruto’s policies including implementation of CBC, uew university funding model, health crisis caused by the ‘unworkable’ Social Health Authority (SHA) and lifting of vetting requirement for residents of border counties.
