Uasin Gishu County Woman Member of Parliament Gladys Boss has issued cheques worth over Ksh 18 million.
The legislator, who is also the National Assembly Deputy Speaker, issued the cheques to women groups, youth, persons with disabilities and students from across the county.
According to the MP, the cheques from the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF) are meant to economically empower the groups.
The event was held at Langas Primary School in Kapseret Constituency on Thursday, February 26, 2026.

“We handed over NGAAF cheques empowering women, youth, PWDs and students across Uasin Gishu,” the MP said.
Among the cheques issued were bursaries amounting to Ksh 7.14 million meant to reach every ward.
Ainabkoi Sub-County received KSh 1,190,000, Moiben (KSh 1,190,000), Kesses (KSh 1,190,000), Turbo (KSh 1,190,000), Soy (KSh 1,190,000), while Kapseret received KSh 1,190,000.
A total of KSh 7.14M went to bursaries.
For the women, youth and PWD groups, they received a total of KSh 11.68 million

- Kesses – KSh 1,612,000
- Turbo – KSh 2,872,000
- Kapseret – KSh 1,662,000
- Soy – KSh 2,112,000
“Investing in our women, students and youth builds a stronger future for everyone,” the National Assembly Deputy Speaker said.
