The state-of-the-art hospital, valued at over Ksh 20 billion is being implemented in phases under the coordination of a multi-agency team.
It is coordinated by the Executive Office of the President, and supervised by the Ministry of Defense to ensure strict control and timely delivery.
Once fully operational, the hospital will house modern multi-specialty services, including comprehensive critical care units.

The first phase will feature at least 60 ICU beds.
The new MTRH is envisioned to become a centre of clinical excellence, an international referral and training institution, and a leading hub for medical research in the region.
