Kapsaos ward is undergoing significant road infrastructure upgrades which residents say are not only bolstering agricultural activities but also promoting connectivity, economic growth and the community at large.
It is with this commitment by Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii’s administration that the Chief Officer for Roads Eng. Abraham Kiptalam on Thursday led the inspection of Tairi Mbili – Joyland -Mama Franco road (grading and gravelling) and also the completed RCEA Lamaiywet box culvert in Kapsaos ward, Turbo Sub County.
Kennedy Odhiambo, an opinion leader from Kapkoros area led other residents in thanking Governor Dr. Bii for the road projects saying for many years storm water has been overwhelming the drainage systems and usually extends the damages to their homes, and businesses during heavy rain season.
Later on, Eng. Kiptalam inspected the ongoing construction of a maternity wing at Kapkoros dispensary which is almost complete.
Inspection Of Ongoing Road Projects As Kewet Road Progress Impresses Residents
On Wednesday, Residents of Kewet village in Ainabkoi/Olare Ward expressed gratitude to Governor Dr Jonathan Bii, for fulfilling his pre-election promise of improving Kewet road, which is a crucial avenue for their mobility.
County Chief Officer for Roads, Eng Abraham Kiptalam, led the inspection of the road and other ongoing road improvement projects in Ainabkoi/Olare Ward, Ainabkoi Sub County.
“The County is keen on having quality roads. After grading, we will apply murram and compact all these roads for them to remain in good condition for many years,” Eng Kiptalam said.
According to residents led by Wilson Rotich and Jonathan Korir, the road from Burnt Forest to Block 9 had been forgotten for decades and it had affected them negatively.
“Many of us here are farmers but poor road infrastructure has been our biggest challenge. We plant Maize, Irish Potatoes Cabbages, others do dairy farming. It will be easier to access the market in Burnt Forest and Eldoret,” Korir said.
