Jackson Mandago Says William Ruto Has Fulfilled Most of His Promises, Deserves Second Term

Uasin Gishu Senator Jackson Mandago has drummed up support for President William Ruto saying he deserves as second term.

Speaking on Saturday, August 23, 2025, during the conclusion of the Great Rift Valley Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church Quiquennium Mega Camp Meeting in Eldoret, Mandago said most of the pledges the President made during the 2022 campaigns have been fulfilled.

He challenged Kenyans to evaluate the government’s performance based on what was been promised, and nothing else.

If it’s affordable housing, they are all over the country. Here in Eldoret the units are almost complete like the one in Kidiwa. We pledged to reduce fertilizer cost, it is now Ksh 2,500 from over Ksh 7,000,” Mandago said.

We want you to judge us on what was promised, and based on the performance so far, I request that you continue supporting this government,” he added.

The Senator also asked the church to continue praying for the current leadership.

He further took the opportunity to rally SDA members and all Kenyans to register for the Social Health Authority (SHA).

According to Mandago, the new national health scheme was working but admitted there might be areas of improvement.

Let’s register for SHA so that we can benefit from it. And it there are any issues, please give us feedback and we will always work on improving those areas,” the legislator who chairs the Senate Health Committee said.
