Joseph Likavo’s Body Arrives in Eldoret from USA Ahead of Burial

The body of International Vision Center (IVC) founder Bishop Joseph Likavo has arrived in the country ahead of his burial next week .

Likavo’s body arrived at the Eldoret International Airport on Friday, January 23, 2026, over a month after his death while undergoing treatment in the United States of America (USA).

The body was received by tens of church leaders, Christians and local politicians including Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim.

Speaking at the airport, Chelilim said Bishop Likavo was a man of God who brought many souls to Christ .

The Governor said he was ready to ensure his vision does not end in death adding that he promised to help fund many rival meetings in the county .

In addition, Chelilim encouraged the family and church members to have hope for brothers and sisters who die in Christ.

Echoing his sentiments, Uasin Gishu Senator Jackson Mandago said “Bishop Likavo was a great man who contributed in many development activities in the county aside from preaching the word of God.”

When and where will Bishop Likavo be buried?

A memorial service for the departed man of God will be held on Tuesday January 27, 2026 at the IVC Church, Eldoret.

The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the Eldoret Sports Club before his burial later in the day at the Maili Nne Prayer Mountain.
