The Jubilee party has won two Member of County Assembly (MCA) seats in Uasin Gishu.
Uasin Gishu is one of the UDA strongholds, and the party has swept all the Member of Parliament and other top county seats.
But out of the 30 wards in the county, two were won by Jubilee candidates, while there are several independent candidates that also edged out those that were vying on the UDA ticket.
In one of the wards that Jubilee has won – Huruma, in Turbo Constituency – youthful lawyer Kimani Wanjohi beat incumbent MCA Lucy Njoroge Chomba.

Lucy who won the seat during a by-election after the death of her husband, Peter Chomba, was seeking to retain the seat on a UDA ticket.
However, in the final results announced by Turbo Constituency IEBC Returning Officer Justus Naliakho, she managed to garner 6,079 votes to finish second behind Wanjohi who had 8,003 votes.
Huruma ward has 31,606 votes but only 17,836 voters turned up on Election Day, representing 56.34 per cent.
Another ward that Jubilee won in Uasin Gishu is Langas in Kapseret Constituency.

Incumbent MCA Francis Mwangi Muya retained his seat after garnering 5,859 votes, edging out his main competitor Dan Mwangi of UDA who garnered 5,490 votes.
Muya was a key mobilizer of the Azimio campaigns in the county and also doubles up as the Jubilee party Uasin Gishu chairman.
