The ruling Jubilee party continues to enhance its rebuilding mission following the mass exit of members to the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
In the last few months, the party has been revamping and rebranding itself, as it seeks to reclaim its lost glory.
The rebranding started with the unveiling of new national officials, where Ndaragua Member of Parliament Jeremiah Kioni was picked as the Secretary-General to replace Raphael Tuju.

And in a move to ensure they have strong foot soldiers on the ground, the party led by President Uhuru Kenyatta has now shifted focus to the county level.
In Uasin Gishu, the Jubilee members met on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, where they picked interim officials that will steer the party matters ahead of the August 9 poll.
Langas Member of County Assembly (MCA) Francis Muya was elected as the chairperson, with Dr. Paul Maina, picked as Secretary.

Andrew Kabaguru, an aspiring Kapsoya ward MCA was named as Organizing Secretary while Zachary Githaiga from Huruma Ward will be the Jubilee Party Treasurer in Uasin Gishu.
Mumbi Gitonga, a businesswoman in Eldoret was elected to be the party’s Woman Representative while Titus Osirimong from Kapsoya Ward will be the Youth Representative for the party in the county.
Speaking after the unveiling of the new officials, the Langas MCA affirmed their support for President Uhuru Kenyatta and the political direction the Jubilee party has taken.
“We’re affirming our support of the President, our party leader, and the way he has shown as the way to support Raila Odinga as the presidential candidate,” said Muya, who will be seeking to retain his Langas MCA seat on a Jubilee party ticket.

The Jubilee party Uasin Gishu chairman further expressed optimism that locals will embrace tolerance and allow democracy to prevail.
“Uasin Gishu despite being home to Deputy President William Ruto, I know they have no issue with others being in Jubilee. Our former politicians fought for multi-partism and in Uasin Gishu we have all parties – from Jubilee, them UDA as well as ODM,” he said.
Huruma ward aspirant on a Jubilee party ticket Wakili Kimani Wanjohi who was present during the event cautioned individuals with a perception that the party was dead.

“They said Jubilee is dead and we’re now saying it has been reborn. To our Mount Kenya brothers and sisters, you may want to kill Jubilee in other regions but know that here we are reviving it,” said Wanjohi.
