President William Ruto has hinted at plans by Kenya to enhance its relationship with Ghana
Ruto listed some of the sectors Kenya is eyeing to focus on in its plan that he said would help broaden opportunities for the people of the two nations.
“Kenya will enhance her relations with Ghana to include more sectors in trade and investment, agriculture, mining, tourism, oil and gas,” the President said.
“This will broaden opportunities for the people of the two countries and ensure our shared prosperity,” he added.
The Head of State made the revelations after hosting Ghana’s President-elect John Dramani Mahama, at his Kilgoris home on Sunday, December 29, 2024.

During the meeting, Ruto said they discussed the expansion of intra-African trade under the African Continental Free Trade Area.
He also thanked the President-elect for declaring his support for Raila Odinga‘s African Union Commission chairperson candidature.
Ruto further said he had also agreed to attend Mahama’s swearing-in in Accra next month.
Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga also attended the meeting.
