Kenya Meteorological Department Says Rainfall to Continue in Most Parts Until May 3

The Kenya Meteorological Department has released a weather focused for the next three days.

In the forecast covering May 1 to May 3, 2026, the weatherman said rainfall is expected to continue in most parts.

Some of the parts where the rains will continue pounding include North and Western Parts if the Rift Valley, Lake Victoria Basingstoke, Coast and North Eastern.

Some of the parts will experience high rainfall and thunderstorms especially in daytime and evenings,” the weatherman said on Friday, May 1, 2026.

In addition, the Meteorological Department warned of strong South to North Eastern winds expected to be over 25 knots.

Some of the parts likely to experience the strong winds include North Western, North Eastern, Lower South Eastern as well as the Coast.

Rainfall in several parts of the country have already led to floods.

Case of landslides have also been reported in some parts of Elgeyo Marakwet but there has been no reports of casualties.
