Kidiwa Primary School in Eldoret is set to get a facelift after the government approved a major infrastructural project.
The school located within Kidiwa residential estate on the outskirts of Eldoret city will soon have a modern storey building classroom block among other facilities.
Soy Member of Parliament David Kiplagat on Monday, December 15, 2025, revealed that construction of the new classroom block will start this month.

Works will also include a perimeter fence and a dinning hall for the learners.
Kiplagat said the project followed his request to President William Ruto.

“Following my request to the President H.E William Samoei Ruto and subsequent follow up with the State department of housing, I am happy to note that the construction of a Storey building of 14 classes, Dinning and a perimeter fence in Kidiwa Primary have been approved and the contractor will begin the works within a month from now,” the MP said in a post on his verified Facebook page.
He noted that with additional classrooms, confessions at the Kidiwa Primary School will be a thing of the past.
It will also enhance learning environment at the public primary school.
“The additional classes will decongest the school and offer a conducive environment for our learners,” Kiplagat said.
“Perimeter wall around the school will further enhance the security of our learners while the dining hall will offer serene space to our learners to enjoy their lunch and meetings,” he added.
The legislator further thanked the President for his continuous support to institutions of learning.
In addition, he revealed plans to give St Peters Kamukunji a face-lift together with perimeter fence around the school with a modern gate.

“The project will also begin early next year,” he noted while also sharing architectural design of the planned facelift.
