Residents of Eldoret and neighbouring regions have been urged to prepare for a temporary disruption in water supply.
This follows a planned routine maintenance at the Chebara Water Treatment Plant by the Eldoret Water and Sanitation Company (ELDOWAS).
According to a public notice issued by ELDOWAS, the maintenance will begin on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. and is expected to conclude by Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 9:00 p.m.
During this period, water supply from the Chebara plant will be unavailable, affecting several key areas across Uasin Gishu County.
“Water bowser services will also not be available,” said ELDOWAS Managing Director CPA Lawrence Tanui.
