Eldoret City is seeking to strengthen international trade and investment ties with Poland’s West Pomeranian Region.
Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) Uasin Gishu Chapter Chairman Willy Kenei on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, hosted a high-level delegation from Poland, led by Deputy Marshal Anna Bankowska, in Eldoret.
The meeting explored opportunities for trade, investment, technology transfer and strategic partnerships between the two regions.
During the engagement, Kenei presented investment opportunities under the Export Processing Zones Authority (EPZA) programme, pitching Uasin Gishu County as a potential hub for manufacturing and value-addition enterprises.
Kenei said the partnerships could open new markets for local agricultural produce while strengthening agro-processing and job creation.
“These partnerships could open new markets for local agricultural produce, strengthen agro-processing, promote technology transfer and create thousands of employment opportunities for our young people,” he said.
He added that the vision is to position Eldoret City and Uasin Gishu County as leading destinations for local and international investment.
“Our vision is clear: to position Eldoret City and Uasin Gishu County as leading destinations for local and international investment, industrial growth and economic transformation,” Kenei said.
