LOOP DFS Launches LOOP BIZ+ to Streamline Business Management and Growth

LOOP Digital Financial Services (LOOP DFS), the digital financial services subsidiary of NCBA Group, has launched LOOP BIZ+, an integrated business management platform designed to help Kenyan merchants manage payments, reach more customers, monitor inventory and access financing through a single digital ecosystem.

The platform combines payment acceptance across point-of-sale (POS), mobile application and web channels with digital product discovery, inventory intelligence and working-capital solutions. By bringing these capabilities together, LOOP BIZ+ aims to address the operational fragmentation that often forces small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to manage sales, stock, marketing and financing through disconnected systems.

At the centre of the platform is the LOOP POS device, which accepts Visa card payments, NFC contactless payments, mobile money and LOOP payments. Merchants can also access payment acceptance through the LOOP BIZ app and web portal, providing flexibility to serve customers across different channels.

For many businesses, managing these functions separately can create additional administrative work, complicate reconciliation and limit visibility into overall business performance. LOOP BIZ+ brings the functions together, allowing merchants to manage transactions and access complementary business tools within one platform.

Speaking at the launch, Sheila Kimani, Chief Commercial Officer at LOOP DFS, said: “Small businesses are the backbone of Kenya’s economy, yet many entrepreneurs still manage payments, records, stock, marketing and financing through separate channels. This can take valuable time away from running and growing their businesses. LOOP BIZ+ brings these needs together in one platform, helping merchants streamline operations, make better-informed decisions and access support as their businesses evolve. Through our relationship with NCBA Bank, eligible merchants can also access financing solutions that support their business needs and growth ambitions.”

Beyond payments, LOOP BIZ+ connects merchants to the LOOP Discover marketplace, where businesses can list their products and promote them to more than 500,000 LOOP consumers through the LOOP consumer app. This gives merchants an additional digital channel to showcase their products and reach potential customers beyond their physical locations.

The platform also provides inventory management capabilities designed to help merchants make more informed stock decisions. Its AI-powered inventory intelligence feature, currently available to merchants using the web platform, supports inventory monitoring, demand forecasting, restocking recommendations and the identification of slow-moving products. A rollout to the LOOP BIZ app is planned for 2027.

LOOP BIZ+ options for businesses

On financing, LOOP BIZ+ offers a range of options to address different business needs, including quick loans, overdrafts, supplier credit lines and a digital pathway to longer-term financing. Merchant transaction history can inform credit assessment and help eligible businesses access financing, subject to applicable eligibility criteria and credit approval.

A credit gamification feature on the LOOP BIZ app also allows merchants to set credit goals and track their progress towards target credit limits.

John Njoroge, Country Manager for Kenya at Visa, said: “Kenya has built one of the world’s most dynamic digital payments ecosystems, and the next opportunity is ensuring more businesses can participate fully in it. LOOP POS broadens payment choice for merchants and consumers by bringing Visa card acceptance together with other digital payment options. Through partnerships like this, we can help more businesses participate confidently in digital commerce and create new growth opportunities.”

By combining digital commerce tools with access to financial services through the wider NCBA ecosystem, LOOP BIZ+ seeks to give merchants access to capabilities that can support more efficient operations and business expansion as they grow.

The launch reinforces LOOP DFS’s focus on using digital technology to connect payments, commerce and financing, enabling businesses to manage day-to-day operations while identifying opportunities for growth in an increasingly digital economy.
