The County Government of Trans Nzoia under the leadership of Governor George Natembeya has rolled out projects to decongest Kitale town and modernise the Central Business District, giving the business people a better environment to operate.

Kitale Municipal Manager Irine Nangole said the municipality has started with Kamukunji grounds where traders used to operate in makeshift structures.

We are fabricating four containers to accommodate 20 stalls. This is the fulfilment of the Governor’s campaign promise to the people of Kamukunji,” Ms Nangole said.

Kitale Municipal Board member Alice Waruguru said the beautification programme and modern stalls will attract investors.

More investors will create jobs, boost tourism and grow the economy of Kitale and the county at large,” she said.
