Trans Nzoia Insecurity: Three Suspected Robbery Gang Members Arrested in Matisi

Three suspected members of a criminal gang accused of terrorising residents in parts of Trans Nzoia County have been arrested following a police operation in the Matisi area on the outskirts of Kitale Town.

According to a statement issued by the National Police Service (NPS) on October 27, 2026, the suspects were apprehended by officers from Matisi and Kitale police stations during a coordinated intelligence-led operation conducted at their respective residences.

Police said the trio had been linked to a series of violent robberies targeting members of the public in the Matisi Rural and Kwa Hamisi areas over the past several weeks.
