The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced the reopening of its portal for students to apply for placement at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).
However, KUCCPS said the opportunity is only for 26 specific programs that still have vacancies.
In an announcement made on its verified social media pages on Friday, April 18, 2025, The Placement Service listed the programs at KMTC that still have vacancies.
They include a Diploma in Mortuary Science, a course that has recently gained traction among learners.
“Good news to applicants looking for Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) courses. Following the recent placement of students to KMTC, 26 programmes still have vacancies,” KUCCPS said.

“The programmes, their minimum requirements and available KMTC campuses are listed on the KUCCPS Student’s Portal (students.kuccps.net),” noted KUCCPS.
The deadline has been set for April 30, 2025.
Diploma in Mortuary Science available in 12 more KMTC campuses
Meanwhile, KMTC announced that the Diploma in Mortuary Science course is now available in 12 additional campuses for the ongoing March 2025 intake.
The move, according to the college, follows increasing demand for the course.
“Many of you have been asking for more training opportunities in the Diploma in Mortuary Science, and we’ve heard you loud and clear,” KMTC posted on its verified Facebook page.
“We’re excited to announce that the program is now available in 12 additional campuses for the ongoing March 2025 intake, creating around 700 new slots,” the college added.
