Outgoing Karuna/Meibeki MCA Josephat Lowoi has droped out of the race to be the Uasin Gishu County Assembl Speaker.

Lowoi, who served as the assembly’s leader of majority since 2013 was among individuals said to be intrested in the seat.

But in a post on his Facebook page, the former MCA said he was not going for the seat.

However, he thanked all that wished him well in the seat.

To my great friends, I have received a lot of calls wishing me a win and praying for me in the forthcoming Uasin Gishu County Assembly Speaker’s post. I’m humbled, those are good prayers and thoughts, unfortunately I’m not going for that position, if so I would have asked for support and prayers early enough,” Lowoi said in a Facebook post.

Kongoi for the concern, your friend is happy to have all of you wishing him well,” he added.

Karori drop out

The outgoing Karuna/Meibeki MCA becomes the second to drop out of the race after lawyer Kipchumba Karori.
