A middle-aged man in Eldoret town, Uasin Gishu County, has set a target of meeting President William Ruto.
Michael Kirwa, popularly known as Waziri Bila Kazi hopes to meet the head of state by December 21, 2022.
Kirwa, in an interview with Uasin Gishu News, says he has a special gift he wants to hand over to Ruto. He however declined to reveal the kind gift that he is yearning to give the president.
According to the self-declared CS without a portfolio, he wants to meet the Head of State, to thank him for his bottom-up economic agenda that favours the common mwananchi at the bottom of the pyramid.
“I have been an ardent supporter of the President since he was Eldoret North Member of Parliament and I am hoping that I will meet him before his birthday. I have a special present for him,” Kirwa says during the interview at the Eldoret Media Hub.
He believes Ruto’s bottom-up agenda will be the real deal when it comes to economically empowering the common mwananchi.
The Waziri Bila Kazi has already been engaging in sensitization of Kenyans to join organized groups so as to benefit from the Ksh50 billion hustlers’ fund expected to be rollout on December 1, 2022.
But even as he hopes to meet the President, Kirwa says should he fail to secure the meeting he will spend three days in jail.
“Failure to meet the president before 21st December 2022, I will call upon the Police IG Koome to issue a warrant of arrest based on the three accounts – for failing myself, failing the president and failing Kenyans – and send me into prison for only three days,” Kirwa noted.
Land gift for DP Gachagua
Meanwhile, even as he seeks to meet the Head of State, Kirwa has also announced that he has gifted Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua with a piece of land.
He says the land is a token of appreciation for the role the second in command played in securing the win in the recently concluded August 9, 2022, polls.
Kirwa had last month coined a new name for the DP – Kipchirchirigathi – derived from two names, the Kalenjin name Kipchirchir and his Rigathi.
“I request him (the DP) to visit me at my home to hand over the gift in the company of Cabinet Secretaries for Transport, Lands and Tourism,” he noted.
He also wants Mount Kenya University to honour Gachagua with an honorary PHD of Excellency.
