Students who sat their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination in 2025 can now apply to join their respective technical training colleges for the May 2026 intake.
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPs) on Sunday, March 8, 2026, announced opening of portal for the applications.
According to KUCCPs, the May 2026 intake applications is for National Polytechnics as well as Technical Training Institutes (TTIs)
“Attention 2025 KCSE Class! You can now apply for TVET courses offered in National Polytechnics, Technical Training Institutes, Institutes of Science and Technology and other technical colleges, for May 2026 intake,” the Placement Service said.

Requirements to apply for TVET course through KUCCPS
KUCCPs said a 2025 candidate with any mean grade can apply for a TVET Course.
Those applying for a diploma programme (Level 6) will be required to have scored at least a C – (minus).
For those who scored D (plain) and above, KUCCPs said they qualify for Level 5 (Craft Certificate) programmes.
“With E and above, you qualify for Level 4 (Artisan Certificate) programmes,” KUCCPS said.
How to apply for TVET course through KUCCPS
A student interested to join a TVET institution for a diploma, craft certificate or artisan certificate can apply online through the KUCCPS portal.
The application is also open to Form Four leavers if other years.
“Log in to the KUCCPS Student’s portal http://students.kuccps.ac.ke and apply a TVET course of your choice!” KUCCPs said.
The deadline for the application has been set for March 18, 2026.
