Moi University is set to hold its 47th graduation ceremony in March 2025.
The university on Friday, February 28, 2025, notified its students of the upcoming graduation.
When is Moi University’s 47th graduation ceremony?
According to a poster on its verified social media pages, the graduation will be on Friday, March 28, 2025, at its main campus in Kesses, Uasin Gishu County.
“Save the date,” the university said in part of the poster.
The graduation will be aired on various social media platforms including Facebook as well as YouTube.
A zoom meeting ID and pass code has also been provided.

This will also be the first graduation under the new Moi University Council that was inaugurated a few weeks ago.
The council is chaired by Prof Noah Midamba who took over from Humprey Njuguna.
It follows the 46th graduation ceremony that was held on December 19, 2024, just after lecturers and other non-teaching staff called off their strike that paralysed learning for several months.
Joy as Moi University Announces 47th graduation ceremony
Meanwhile, the announcement of the 47th Moi University graduation has been welcomed by former and current students.
This is based on the fact that for the last few years, the university has faced financial problems which have been disrupting learning leading to most of the students graduation beyond the expected four years.
Here are some reactions from netizens after the graduation date announcement:
Kiongozi Paul Kibet: The university is picking up. If well managed, this university has the potential of being the best.
Elkana Okeo: You really tortured students.
Isaac Mohamud: Good news for the millions of students that were frustrated to graduate year in year out.
Chemutai Cheseto: Ebu kuweni serious.
Fred Maundu: Hii ni maajabu.
Ekwe Turumbe: At least the university has direction.
