Former National Police Service Spokesperson Bruno Shioso AIG has taken over as the Commandant of the National Police College – Main Campus in Kiganjo.
Shioso, who was appointed to the office of the spokesperson in August 2021, officially took over his new role during a brief handing over ceremony held at the college.
An astute instructor who had previously served several pedagogical tours at the police college, Shioso takes over from the Inspector General of the National Police Japhet Koome.

During his tenure as the Spokesperson, the National Police Service say Bruno Shioso made innumerable achievements in the implementation of NPS Communication Strategy intended to advance the Mission and Vision of the Service.
“He has also steered with great success multi-agency and multi-sectoral programmes including the multi-agency security operations and the campaigns on the security preparedness for the 2022 General Election,” noted the NPS in a statement on November 15, 2022.
“He brings in a wealth of experience having served in different capacities in Kenya and abroad,” added the National Police Service.
Before his appointment as the NPS Spokesperson, Bruno Shioso had served with United Nation (UN) as a Transnational Organized Crime Expert.
He has also held senior positions at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) including at the Banking Fraud Investigations Unit (BFIU) and as the Principal Assistant to then Director DCI, Mr. Francis Ndegwa Muhoro.

“His interest in academia and Policing is indisputable,” notes NPS.
The new National Police College – Kiganjo boss holds a Master’s of Science degree in Criminology (Police Leadership and Management) from Leicester University UK.
The NPS says his skills and vast experience will be vital in his new role.
