Number of New Registered Voters per Ward in Uasin Gishu

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has shared details of the number of locals that have registered as voters in Uasin Gishu County during the ongoing Mass Voter Registration exercise.

According to details shared by IEBC for the numbers tabulated as of 11.00 AM on November 1, 2021, the county is still far from hitting its target of 166,000 new voters.

The statistics show that only 36, 257 new voters have so far been registered with wards located near Eldoret town recording a higher number of new voters compared to those in rural areas.

Kuinet/Kapsuswa ward in Soy Sub County that has a part of Eldoret town locals is leading with 3,914 new registered voters followed by Racecourse in Kesses Sub County with 2,476 while Kapsoya ward has recorded 2,335 new voters.

Kenyans line up to be registered as voters.

The ward with the least number of newly registered voters is Ngeria that has 571, followed by Sergoit (600) and Kapkures third from the bottom with 620 new registered voters.

Here is the number of newly registered voters in Uasin Gishu County for all the 30 wards, as shared by IEBC North Rift regional coordinator Jane Gitonga.
