Oscar Sudi, Robert Alai in Social Media Spat Over Extortion Claims

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi and Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai have for the last few hours been engaged in social media spat over extortion claims.

The spat started after Alai, formerly a controversial blogger claimed Sudi was the Rift Valley politician that a popular newspaper section last week claimed had run out of favour with a powerful office in the land.

The reason, according to the section – the said politicians had obtained millions of shillings from individuals that were hoping to get government appointments but ended up being left out.

Who can this be? Si ni Sudi tu who must have conned someone. Let me ask my sources in State House. We will know by end of tomorrow,” Alai reacted to an extract of the section.

But in his response, the vocal MP and a close ally of President William Ruto said he was that cheap.

Petty blackmails

So what? Kindly report the matter to any nearest police station. You think I am that cheap? I cannot succumb to your petty blackmails like those whom you’ve threatened to a level they’ve put you on payroll. You cannot extort me my friend. Never,” the MP fired back at the ODM MCA.

But that was not the end, Alai later claimed that Sudi was punched by Ruto at State House after he allegedly conned a senior police officer Ksh50 million.

The MCA claims the MP asked for the money with a promise to help the individual be appointed the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

However, even after parting ways with the millions, the senior police officer did not get the job.

Kwani what do someone have to extort from a poor conman extort money from individuals looking for business in the new govt. Ruto punched you in State House because you conned a senior police officer Ksh 50 million while promising that you will make sure that he is the new DCI boss. Sudi, you are far from any league of importance. You are an idle conman. There are those you can threaten. I am not one of them,” Alai said in another post on Facebook.

But in his response, Sudi said, “Laughable! How stupid is that Police Officer to a level he/she can invest such an amount of money for a job? Stop dragging Mr. President to such pedestrian street talk. You are a very petty Extortionist.”
