As Eldoret City continues to experience rapid urban growth and increasing pressure to bridge the housing deficit, the Pioneer Affordable Housing Project (AHP) is taking shape as a major high-rise residential development in Uasin Gishu County.
The project, now 60% done, comprises 15 residential blocks delivering a total of 2,148 housing units.
Construction is steadily progressing, with finishing works underway, including tiling, painting, window installation and plastering across the development.

Designed as a self-sustaining mixed-use community, the project integrates 104 commercial shops and a supermarket to support local enterprise, alongside essential social amenities such as an on-site clinic and a kindergarten.
Recreational facilities, including a clubhouse, community centre, swimming pool, basketball court and children’s play areas, will foster vibrant community living, complemented by integrated waste management infrastructure to promote environmental sustainability.

In addition to expanding access to decent housing, the project is creating significant employment opportunities across construction and related services, strengthening local livelihoods and stimulating the local economy.
Implementation of the Pioneer Affordable Housing Project is supported by the State Department for Internal Security and National Administration, which provides strategic coordination to ensure secure project delivery, orderly development and safe public spaces for future residents.
