A girl from a humble background who emerged top in class in the 2025 Kenya Junior Secondary School Assessment (KJSEA) at Saroiyot Junior Secondary School has secured full sponsorship.
The girl, Angel Belinda, was on the verge of missing out on Grade 10 admision for lack of school fees.
Kesses Member of Parliament CPA Julius Ruto has however come to her rescue.
Belinda has since joined Sinyolo Girls Senior School where she was selected to join.
“Sometimes, all a child needs is someone to believe in them. Today, I am proud to stand with Angel Belinda, a brilliant young girl whose hard work has earned her a place at Sinyolo Girls Senior School,” the MP said.

“Angel emerged the best student at Saroiyot Junior Secondary School, excelling against all odds despite coming from a humble background. Her journey is a true reflection of resilience, discipline, and determination,” he added.
Ruto said the girl’s issue was brought to his attention by teachers at Saroiyot JSS who identifies her potential.
“I will fully sponsor her education, because no child’s dream should be cut short by poverty,” the legislator said.
“I sincerely thank the teachers of Saroiyot JSS for identifying her potential and bringing her case forward. Your dedication is shaping futures beyond the classroom,” he added.
The MP further said education remains the strongest tool for transforming lives and building a better future.
