ELDOWAS is the Uasin Gishu County-owned company that is mandated to supply water to customers within the Eldoret Municipality.

The company produced about 43 million litres of water daily, against a demand of over 60 million litres.

But due to the deficit, it usually applies water rationing to some of its customers.

There have been ongoing efforts to construct two new water supply plants that once complete will address the water shortage menace.

There, however, is already ongoing construction work for the Kipkaren Dam Water Project with works on Two-Rivers Dam also expected to start soon.
