Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim has nominated Paul Kibet as Chairperson of the County Public Service Board (CPSB), alongside five members to serve on the board, pending approval by the County Assembly.
In a media release issued on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, Governor Bii said the nominations were made pursuant to Section 58 of the County Governments Act.
Alongside Kibet, the nominees for board membership are: Daniel Kiptoo Melly, Dr. Emily Jeruto Ng’eno, Augustine Rop Cheruiyot, John Kiproti ch Tanui, and Angeline Atieno Oyomo.
The governor stated that the nominations reflect the county government’s commitment to strengthening institutional leadership and enhancing efficiency, professionalism, inclusivity, and accountability in the management of public service affairs.
The nominees will now await vetting and approval by the Uasin Gishu County Assembly before formally assuming office.
The County Public Service Board is mandated to manage human resource functions within the county public service, including recruitment, appointment, and discipline of county.
