The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has opened registration for individuals planning to vie for an elective seat in 2027 under its ticket.
UDA National Elections Board chairperson Anthony Mwaura announced the opening of the registration process on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.
In a notice, Mwaura also announced the establishment of the party aspirants forum.
“This forum will deliberate and implement the mechanisms to conduct free, fair and transparent nominations of UDA candidates in the forthcoming general elections,” Mwaura said.

All registered aspirants will hold a first UDA Aspirants’ Forum at State House Nairobi on February 4, 2026.
Registration fee for UDA aspirants
UDA also announced registration fee for all aspirants.
Individuals eyeing the Member of County Assembly (MCA) seat will be required to pay a registration fee of Ksh 2,000 while those whimg the Member of National Assembly (MP), County Woman Representative and Senator aspirants will pay Ksh 5,000.
Politicians seeking an UDA ticket for the governor seats will pay a registration fee of Ksh 10,000.
Anyone who will be interested in getting the UDA’s presidential ticket for the 2027 general elections will be required to pay Ksh 100,000 for registration.
The registration fee is non-refundable.

UDA is likely to collect millions of shillings from the registration of aspirants as it commands a strong support based across the country.
