Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant Willy Kenei has intensified his grassroots engagements in Kesses Constituency, pitching his inclusive development agenda to residents and community leaders in Tulwet/Chuiyat Ward.
On Friday, October 2, Kenei held a consultative meeting with community leaders from Tulwet and Chuiyat as part of his continued countywide engagement tour.
He said the meeting was aimed at sharing his vision for a better, more united and prosperous Uasin Gishu while listening to the views, priorities and aspirations of local leaders.

“My vision is anchored on inclusive development, accountable leadership, economic opportunities, quality services and practical solutions that respond to the needs of our people,” Kenei said.

Earlier in the week, the aspirant had joined residents of Ingwai village for an empowerment engagement with the Remache Welfare Group.
Kenei described the engagement as an opportunity to connect directly with residents and support grassroots initiatives that improve livelihoods.
“It was a powerful opportunity to connect with the people, listen to their aspirations and stand with a community determined to improve livelihoods,” he said, adding that strong communities are built by empowering people and turning ideas into practical opportunities.

The businessman-turned-politician, who is campaigning under the slogan “Dawa ya Uasin Gishu”, said his leadership approach will be people-centred and solution-based.
“My commitment is to champion leadership that listens, works with the people and delivers solutions that create real impact. The journey towards a prosperous, inclusive and transformed Uasin Gishu starts at the grassroots, together, with the people,” he said.
Kenei, who is the Chairman of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) Uasin Gishu Chapter, is among aspirants seeking to unseat incumbent Governor Jonathan Bii in the 2027 general election.
