Ronald Ngala Utalii College (RNUC) has received an ultra-modern kitchen to cater for students’ food and training needs.
The kitchen that has a capacity to prepare meals for 3,000 diners will also be used for practical lessons for trainees aspiring to be chefs and other culinary related courses.
Tourism Principal Secretary Julius Bitok who unveiled the facility on Friday, October 2, 2026, said its installation had factored in environmental, safety and sustainability considerations.

“We have a kitchen that will promote clean cooking and that is very safe for our studentslearning experiences. We are deliberate about protecting our environment even as we equip the college with the best available equipment,” PS Bitok said.
Programmes offered at Ronald Ngala Utalii College
He added that the college is built around a vision for a niche training institution for tourism, hospitality and maritime-related programmes with an eye for both the local and global labour markets.
The programmes on offer include hospitality, housekeeping, front office and culinary arts.
The College is also in talks with the Maritime Shipping Company to support maritime and sea-faring training.
Additionally, PS Bitok said the institution is strategically positioned to contribute to the blue economy.

“If you want to study maritime processes, you must study sea-faring. That is why this institution has been set up as a premium institution, one of its own kind,” said PS Bitok.
