The County Government of Uasin Gishu has assured traders across all the markets that they will continue operating their businesses without any interference.
The assurance was made by the county through the Department of Trade Development and Industrialization.
Addressing traders at the Eldoret Main Wholesale Market on Thursday, September 8, 2022, Acting Chief Officer for Trade Kipleting Mengich noted that Governor Jonathan Bii’s administration has traders and the business community interests at heart through the Nguzo Kumi agenda.
However, Mengich asked traders who have not renewed their monthly market stalls rent to do so.
He also challenged the traders to form committees at least in every sector to serve as a general support function and as a linkage between the traders to help in solving market-related issues.
