Trans Nzoia’s Zion Transcend Stadium is set to host National Super League (NSL) matches in the coming season.
Stadium’s founder Wesley Korir revealed that at least three football teams have so far applied to have the stadium be their official home field.
Korir, a former Cherangany Member of Parliament and athlete however did not reveal the names of the teams seeking to host their home NSL matches at the Zion Transcend Stadium.

“Kenya National Super League ( NSL) is coming to Cherangany next season! So far 3 teams have applied to use Zion Transcend as their official home field,” he said in a post on his verified Facebook page dates June 18, 2026.

North Rift football teams in NSL
Currently, three teams from the North Rift region are in the National Super League.
Soy United who finished 10th have been using Eldoret ASK Show grounds as their home turf. They remain in the league for a second season.

Trans Nzoia-based Kiminini Combined and Uasin Gishu’s Mfalme FC earned promotion to the second-tier league for the coming season.
It is however not clear whether the three teams are the ones seeking to play their home matches at Zion Transcend Stadium.
The stadium located within Cherangany constituency recently hosted the high-profile Trash Nzoia Secondary School games football final between arch rivals St Anthony’s Boys High School and St Joseph’s Boys.

St Anthony won the game 1-0 to reclaim their county title and secure a spot inthe regional games.
