AMPATH Launches First Strategic Plan

Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare (AMPATH Kenya) has launched its inaugural Strategic Plan to guide a clear and purposeful course for the organization’s future.

The strategic initiative was driven by the need to align AMPATH’s actions with its core mission and vision, fostering a cohesive and focused approach to its multifaceted endeavours in healthcare, research, and education.

When did AMPATH Kenya begin?

AMPATH began in 1988 as an educational medical partnership between Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM), Moi University (MU) and Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) to collaboratively build capacity in health service delivery, engage in health research, and develop leaders in healthcare in the United States and Kenya.

The program has so far grown to include Ghana, Mexico, and Nepal.
